2012 promises to be an exciting season for our Junior section. There are lots of trophies to play for as well as our season order of merit and there will be opportunities to compete in inter club matches too!.

2012 JUNIOR CAPTAIN

Jade O'Brien is the new 2012 junior captain.

Jade will officially start her captaincy on Sunday 8th January when she will drive in along with the mens, ladies and vets captains.

Jade will assist in the overall running of the junior section and along with Richard, will be on hand to answer any questions or queries.

We wish Jade all the best with her captaincy!!!

On Saturdays..

.. the Eagles group meet up at 12pm for a lesson followed by an 18 hole competition (9 holes winter). There are lots of trophies to play or and an overall order of merit. Inter club matches are being placed in to the 2011 schedule, allowing the Juniors the chance to play other clubs in the area.

On Saturdays at 1.30 ..

.. the Birdies group meet. This lesson is geared towards progression in to the Eagles group and is for less experienced and younger juniors. Players in this group will have their very own workbook with challenges to complete in all aspects of the game. It will incorporate the EGU National skills challenge.

On Saturdays at 2-30..

.. the Pars group meet. This lesson is geared towards progression in to the Birdies group and is for younger players with no previous golf experience. We can accommodate golfers as young as 5yrs old in to this group. Learning will be made fun, with lots of challenges to complete.

NEW ACADEMY PAR 3 COURSE...

Officially opening in the spring will be our new par 3 academy course. The course construction is well under way with strategically placed bunkers and banking, astroturf tees will be fitted soon and the course should be available for use for Junior academy players soon in to the new year. This is a great opportunity for the Pars and Birdies to really improve their games before going out on to the main course.
