My name is Richard Silman and I am thrilled to be able to introduce myself as the new PGA Professional here at Tenterden Golf Club. Since my appointment, I have been actively planning how I can provide the best possible service to Club members and Visitors. The role itself represents a fantastic career move for me at a great course in a beautiful part of the Country, and I know it to be one of the friendliest clubs around. I am really looking forward to meeting you all, of course some of you (and your golf swings!) will be familiar.

We are all different, have our own unique blueprint and our own brain! It is my responsibility to get the best out of every player and their swing. I have always believed that improving a golfer’s short game is the fastest and easiest route to lowering scores.           

I feel it is imperative from the onset that I am proactive and integrate amongst Club members and also welcome Societies and Visitors to the Club, ensuring that their stay is as enjoyable as possible. Obviously this will take time and I ask for your patience but I am excited by the challenge and I hope, in turn, that you will be pleased with the service that I offer.  I hope this has helped give you an insight into who I am, what I have done and what I plan to do!

My Profile:- I turned Pro at 20 and have gained experience at some fantastic venues I have been very fortunate to achieve good success as a tournament player I have ensured that my career and the venues where I have worked have been as diverse as possible I have obtained many skill sets along the way and am able to deal with every type of golfer, helping them to enjoy the game as much as I do I have sought advice from some of the world’s best coaches but developed my own style of teaching thanks to over 17 years experience as player and Coach
